The Screen Acting Intermediate Course is a six-week intensive designed for actors who are ready to sharpen their screen acting skills and go further than the acting basics.
The Screen Acting Intermediate Course will equip you with the necessary skills, relevant to take your acting craft to the next level. Going beyond the basics means developing a confident understanding of the characters that are brought to life on screen, and the essential adjustments that must be made within that process. Further developing your approach to screen and characterisation will help you present in auditions and on set as the unique YOU in a relaxed, focused and charismatic way.
Screenwise classes are strictly boutique in size to ensure quality of delivery. Intake for the Screen Acting Intermediate is limited to 14 students.
To take part in the Intermediate course you need to have:
Completed the Screen Acting Beginners Course or an equivalent short course
Relevant Film, Theatre or Television Experience (CV will be required on application for selection).
One you’ve got a grasp of the essentials where to next? The Screen Acting Intermediate Course at Screenwise is designed for those with some experience, but looking to push themselves a little further with more scene work and opportunities to act.
With the business of learning the basics out of the way, the intermediate course is designed to get actors starting their journeys doing what matters most to learn the craft: acting. Working with currently working film and TV actors as tutors students will gain more hands on experience with the craft of acting.
After completing the intermediate course, you may want to move on to the advanced course to start familiarising yourself with the more technical demands of screen acting. Or maybe you want to take your journey to the next level and kick-start your career with the part-time Showreel Course, or give yourself two years of immersive actor-training with the Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting.
During your application you will be asked to provide us with a CV outlining your prior acting experience. This includes any courses you have studied at Screenwise or another institution.
Complete the application form.
