The Showreel Course – What you need to know
The next intake of the Showreel Course is on track to commence soon. We've put together our most frequently asked questions to help you learn all you can about what the Showreel Course has to offer!
What will I learn in the course?
The Showreel Course is a one-year, part-time course that will offer you a toolkit for professional screen acting training and a state-of-the-art showreel. Students explore a range of acting techniques and develop a wide range of skills designed to promote their versatility within the industry.
What are the available class times?
Students have the option of one of two class times in The Showreel Course (Times are allocated based on availability and on a first come, first served basis):
Day class: One full day, 10:00am – 5:00pm, OR,
Evening class: Two evenings per week, 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Offering this flexibility provides you with the opportunity to accomodate your training into your work and personal life.

What is the Difference between The Showreel Course and the Diploma of Screen Acting?
The Showreel Course has a high appeal to students who are serious about acting and seek a high intensity, challenging part-time year long acting course. The Diploma of Screen Acting in comparison is a Two-Year, Full-Time creative and technical screen acting program.
Can I have an agent while studying?
Students are welcome to have agent representation while studying at Screenwise – networking and industry experience while studying is beneficial to raising Students profiles.
Will the course help me get an agent and how?
The Showreel Course offers a unique business unit that provides actors with the business acumen necessary to promote your skills and engage with key stakeholders in the Film and Television industry. Acting is just like any other business – you have to put your best foot forward as you begin your journey as a professional actor. Having a clear understanding of the business aspects behind acting will ensure your best chance of securing the right agent that connects with your brand also.

Students who fit the casting brief and who are not represented by an Agent are submitted for professional TVC’s and small speaking roles whilst currently studying at Screenwise as we believe that networking and industry experience while studying is beneficial to raising students profiles.
