About Screenwise

Established in 2000, Screenwise has been at the forefront of specialist, career-focused training in acting for film and television for over two decades. This esteemed institution is helmed by the legendary Denise Roberts, a multi-award-winning actress known for her roles in God’s Favorite Idiot, Schapelle, Always Greener, and GP. Inspired by her dedication and professionalism, the ‘Roberts Method’ forms the core of Screenwise’s training philosophy.

Screenwise pioneered the concept of a registered training organization exclusively for screen acting, featuring a roster of industry professionals as tutors. These include award-winning actors, directors, casting directors, and industry technicians who bring their current, real-world experience directly into the classroom. Students benefit from an immersive learning environment, regularly interacting with these top-tier professionals, gaining invaluable insights and networking opportunities that pave the way for successful careers in the film and television industry.

Offering both full-time and part-time programmes, Screenwise’s curriculum aligns with the latest Australian and international film industry standards. Notably, Screenwise made history as the first to offer a Two-Year Diploma of Screen Acting, later evolving into the 10869NAT Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting in 2020 and the only one of it’s kind in Australia.

The Screenwise One-Year Part-Time Showreel Course stands out by combining high-calibre training with the creation of a professional showreel upon completion.

Additionally, Screenwise caters to all skill levels with a variety of short courses, from beginner to advanced. These courses encompass essential skills such as American Accent, Presenting to Camera, and Improvisation, addressing a broad spectrum of industry needs.
