Screenwise Attends The G’Day USA Gala Held In LA

As proud sponsor of the event, Hollywood’s biggest Australian names came out to honour some of their own. The star-studded affair highlights the extraordinary contributions Aussies make to the world of entertainment.
Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, John Travolta, Baz Luhrmann, Luke Hemsworth, and Lindsay Price were among the A-listers who turned out to celebrate this year’s honourees.

Taking home the G’Day USA Lifetime Achievement Award was the acclaimed costume designer, production designer and producer Catherine Martin, best known for her work on Moulin Rouge! and The Great Gatsby, and TV executive producer David  Hill, who was recognised for his success with The X Factor and American Idol. The Lion actress’ husband Keith awarded David the top honour.

Veteran actor Ben Mendelsohn, whose exhaustive list of credits includes Bloodline and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, was the recipient of the G’Day USA Excellence in Film and Television Award.
Inside, guests feasted on Australian food and wine curated by Australian chef Neil Perry and Chef Wolfgang Puck. Vance Joy performed his worldwide hit “Riptide” while DJ Havana Brown and DJ Guillaume Viau spun the hits late into the night.
