Founder’s Scholarship – Terms and Conditions

  1. The Screenwise Founder’s Scholarship is offered by Screenwise Pty Limited (“Screenwise”) trading as (ABN 18 106 187 606)
  2. Each entry to this Scholarship must be in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By applying for the Scholarship, each eligible Entrant (‘Entrant’) agrees to be bound by the applicable clauses in these Terms and Conditions
  3. Screenwise may at their discretion refuse to award the Scholarship to any Entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the law, or whose involvement with the Competition may otherwise cause adverse publicity to Screenwise.
  4. The scholarship on offer is eligible only to adults over 18 years of age.

  6. Each Entrant can only apply for the Scholarship once per year.
  7. Opening date for entry will be 1st September 2021.  No further applications for the Scholarship will be reviewed or accepted once initial applications close on 30th November 2021.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason prior to the initial applications closing date of 30th November 2021.
  9. Entrants agree that Screenwise may use entries and any personal details provided in the Scholarship application form for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes for Screenwise in any media without notice and without any fee being paid.
  10. The recipient of the Scholarship will be selected based on the selection criteria specified via https://screenwise.com.au/diploma-of-screen-acting/founders-scholarship/ and on the The Founder’s Scholarship Application Form.
  11. The recipient of the Scholarship will be notified by mail, telephone or e-mail as soon as reasonably possible following determination of the recipient.
  12. If there is any event that prevents or hinders Screenwise’s conduct of the Scholarship or Screenwise’s ability to deliver the award to the recipient of the Scholarship, Screenwise may, at their discretion, cancel the Scholarship and recommence it at another time under the same conditions, or select another recipient.
  13. The recipient of the Scholarship agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material.
  14. Upon accepting the offer of Scholarship and upon meeting the entry and study requirements for the Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting (10869NAT), the recipient’s tuition fees for the Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting (10869NAT) totalling $35,000 shall be fully subsidised by Screenwise. Tuition Fees and/or the total value of tuition fees are non-transferable or redeemable for cash.
  15. The Scholarship is only valid and located for redemption at Screenwise Studios, 84-86 Mary Street, Surry Hills, NSW.
  16. Should the recipient choose not to accept the Scholarship it will not be substituted with another prize, and Screenwise reserves the right, entirely at its own discretion, to award the Prize to another applicant in their place.
  17. Upon accepting the Scholarship on offer, the recipient claims complete responsibility for attendance and is not eligible for transfer to another course regardless of any personal circumstances that may apply. If a student is unable to attend the course date on offer by the scholarship and the Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting (10869NAT), no transfer is available to attend another course.
  18. Upon accepting the Scholarship on offer, the recipient will not be eligible to designate an alternative date or course and therefore the prize will only be valid for the initial course and course date nominated for the Advanced Diploma Screen Acting in 2022. If a student is unable to attend the course dates on offer for the Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting (10869NAT) for any reason, no transfer is available to attend another course.
  19. The recipient will have ten working days from the initial notification of offer to accept the Scholarship prize.
  20. Screenwise Management have complete discretion in awarding the Screenwise Founder’s Scholarship.
  21. Only Australian Citizens are eligible for the Founder’s Scholarship. If the recipient of the award is a permanent resident, and if this status is violated or cancelled for any reason whatsoever, the Scholarship will be made immediately invalid. Upon accepting this offer, the competition winner agrees to accept all terms and conditions specified by Screenwise on the Screenwise Website at https://screenwise.com.au/terms-and-conditions/. These conditions must be complied with throughout the entire duration of their studies. Any breach of these terms and conditions will result in the immediate termination of the agreement and the subsequent removal of the competition winner from all course studies.
