Blake Wells

Blake Wells is a professional actor and Fight Director with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. After graduating from the Actors College of Theatre and Television in 2003, he began training with world renown Fight Master Kyle Rowling. In that time, he worked on many projects including as Assistant Fight Coordinator on the second season of ABC cult classic Double the Fist and Opera Australia’s 2011 remounting of Carmen.

Blake has worked as a fight extra on shows such as Packed to the Rafters, on the Rogue Traders film clip, I Never Liked You Anyway, as well as various corporate functions and charity events. Blake has also appeared in “possibly the most epic sword fight ever seen on an Australian stage” when performing as MacDuff in Bard on the Beach’s season of Macbeth.

Since gaining certification as a Fight Director he has choreographed numerous theatre productions, taught at many of the top acting schools in Sydney, and been Fight Coordinator on the feature film BOX: Metaphor.

Blake is a member of The Art of Combat International and one of the founding members of the Australian Stage Combat Association (ASCA). Blake’s work with ASCA has help to shape and improve the safety and standards of Combative Arts in Australia.
