Alan Flower

Alan is an actor, writer, teacher, and director and has a B.A. UNSW and trained in acting at the Ensemble Studios.

Alan’s Theatre Credits are far too vast to include them all.  Some are Never Did Me Any Harm for STC, Peribanez and Rays Tempest for Company B. Tony Oursler’s Sydney festival 2006 piece Blue Invasion. Stag for Sydney Theatre Company’s New Stages. A View from the Bridge and A Street Car Named Desire for the Ensemble Theatre. The ShorternSweeter National tour 08, The Bamboo Flute for Canute productions, and The Secret of the 7 Marbles at the Seymore centre. The Roy Murphy Show at the Parade theatre Nida. Jesus Hopped the A Train, Frozen and La Ronde (B Sharpe – Belvoir). Road (The Tamarama Rock Surfers). The Disposal, Fidelity, and Cross Sections for TRS at Old Fitzroy Theatre. Blue Heart at the Stables. The Woolgatherer and Portia Coughlan (Darlinghurst Theatre). That Eye The Sky, for Richard Roxburgh’s Burning House Theatre Company. Alan’s appearances on television include roles in Catching Milat, Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door, Scorched, Chandon, The Silence, The Alice, Home and Away, All Saints (as Morris the Florist), Bad Cop Bad Cop, Love Is A Four Letter Word, Farscape, Backberner, Flipper, Above the Law, Water Rats, G.P, A Country Practise, Big Sky, Roar, and Family and Friends.

Feature film credits include: The Venus Factory, A Wreck a Tangle, When Good Ghouls Go Bad, Danny Deckchair, Fat Pizza, Bitter and Twisted, Jewboy and Gabriel, Mai Lei Thompson.

Alan has also featured in dozens of short films including five trop finalists and was also a presenter/comedian on the Fox Music Country channel. Alan is one of the founding members of Tamarama Rock Surfers.

Alan has taught drama and story at Screenwise, Brent Street, UNSW, NIDA, AADA, Q Theatre, Sing Over King, Toni Higginbothoms, After Care and the Ensemble Studios.
