Choosing the right acting course can be an extremely daunting task. With so many study options available across Australia, it is important to ensure that the programme of your choice provides you with the right tools to succeed as an actor in the Film and Television Industry.

The Diploma of Screen Acting is unique in that it offers training specifically focused on shaping an individual’s professional career in screen acting – some of the many unique benefits of this course are highlighted below.

Boutique Acting Class Environments

The Diploma of Screen Acting offers undivided attention to students as a result of the boutique learning environment it thrives within. Classes are limited to only 14 students per class so that tutors can give each student the attention they deserve. This means Screenwise actors have more time with industry
professionals to perfect their acting skills.

Award-Winning Tutors

All Diploma classes at Screenwise are overseen by Award-Winning Australian Film & TV actors. The current and extensive industry knowledge of our tutors provides practical Film and TV training for actors that is unrivalled. Accomplished actors, such as, Philipp Quast, Natasha McNamara, Ben Mathews and Anna Lee are currently teaching at Screenwise.

Production of Quality Showreel

Behind every great actor is a great Showreel. Actors will have a hard time getting auditions or finding roles without a great Showreel. The Showreel is a key supplement in an actor’s resume as it provides a visual showcase of their work on screen. Screenwise Showreels are professionally shot and edited in collaboration with Award-Winning Australian directors and technicians. Diploma Showreels are also sent to Screenwise’s extensive network of agents in Australia and across the globe following the Graduate Showcase.

Industry Showcase Presentation

During the Industry Showcase Presentation, students perform live on stage and screen their Showreel scenes to key decision makers in the Australian Film and Television Industry. Students are then introduced to industry-invited directors, producers, agents and casting consultants during a networking session.

A Diverse Acting Curriculum

The Diploma of Screen Acting is second-to-none when it comes to its cutting-edge curriculum. This course isn’t simply about developing your craft for stage and screen but equally focuses on the business side of acting. This includes teaching our actors how to approach and market themselves to agents and other professionals in the industry. Other specialised subjects include presenting to camera, body combat, American accent and green screen. Giving an actor as many tools as possible leads to a greater opportunity for work. So it is important that emerging actors pursue training programs that can provide them with the most diverse set of tools so that they can secure a life-long career in the Film and Television industry.
