The well-known, popular and charismatic presenter has had an incredibly diverse career in both radio and television presenting. Prior to following the presenting path, James attended screen acting classes at Screenwise.
James has had over a decade of television and radio broadcasting experience that is seen through his plethora of presenting credits. Beginning his career as a host of the popular children’s show Sarvo on Nickelodeon. His comedic style has seen him as guest presenter at the ARIA Awards as well as co-host The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards twice.
James is also a regular presenter on Channel [V], Australia’s premier music channel, and has interviewed dozens of great international artists including Silverchair, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, Lady GaGa, Kanye West, Will Ferrel and Steve Carrel.
While at Channel [V] James created, named, developed and presented the music travel format B430, hosted the hugely popular trivia game show Cash Cab, as well as co-hosted and co-wrote the hilarious Dave and Kerley Show. James has travelled throughout Australia, The US and Europe for TV and radio interests, becoming a popular face of youth culture.
Some of Kerley’s many other roles have included working as a presenter on The Comedy Channel in the successful Balls of Steel Australia, The NOVAFM Top Ten weeknights, the global franchise Australia Smashes Guinness World Records (Seven Network), Eclipse Music TV (Channel 9 and GO!) and Taken Out (Network Ten). In addition, James has also played various characters on The Token Brown Show (SBS).
The TV and radio presenter is also a talented writer with a Bachelor of Media and Writing. Kerley has written for Cleo magazine as well as contributed to a number of Australian publications. He also won appeal as a finalist in Cleo Bachelor in 2010 and 2008, winning Best Campaign.
In 2012 James’ released his first book, The Man Plan, a printed version of James’ all too familiar cheeky style. Currently, James travels between LA and Sydney for producing projects and has another book in the works as a follow up to The Man Plan.
