Ivan Topic

Ivan Topic’s acting career started in Sydney in 2003 when he was cast in a support role in Khoa Do’s internationally acclaimed feature film, The Finished People. Shortly after he appeared in Khoa Do’s second feature film Footy Legends and went on to play Mia Wasikowska’s father in Paul Goldman’s Suburban Mayhem. His television credits include: Home and Away (7 Network), Bastard Boys (ABC), Gangs of OZ (10 Network), Rake (ABC), Behind Mansion Walls (US Cable Network) and Soul Mates (ABC).

His film roles include 33 Postcards and Tim Boyle’s much anticipated The Half Dead where he appears opposite screen legend, John Rhys-Davies. He has had lead roles in many awarded short films and has also worked on several TVC’s for the International and Australian market.

His theatre credits include leading roles in Europe, The Dumb Waiter, Those The River Keeps and Spiked Heels. More recently he received rave reviews for his role as Dave Moss in the Serious Boys production of Glengarry Glen Ross at the Darlinghurst Theatre, which was directed by Marcus Graham and played to packed houses. He also collaborated with Marcus in developing and performing in the acclaimed and much loved Bebop Apocalypse, a live Beat Generation Poetry performance set to Improvised jazz music, where due to his amazing voice over skills he played the part of William S Burrows.

Ivan has had extensive training in acting, movement, voice and screen acting throughout his career. He is a graduate of the Sanford Meisner method where he received many awards for his work.

Ivan is also an experienced screenwriter with several high concept, commercial projects at various stages of development and production.
