Geoff Bennett

Geoff Bennett is a highly successful director of film, television and documentary.

Geoff’s television work is extensive and he has been involved in some of Australia’s most recognised and popular series such as Neighbours, Home and Away, Fire, Water Rats, Young Lions, All Saints, Farscape, McLeod’s Daughters, Fireflies, Love My Way and Sea Patrol Series 1 – 5, and Rush Series 1 & 4.

Geoff also directed the critically acclaimed series one of Underbelly for the Nine Network, and the drama series, Rush Series 1 & 4 for Network Ten. He was the start- up director for COPS LAC for the Nine Network in 2010. In 2011, he directed the celebrated Channel Nine telemovie The Great Mint Swindle.

In 1997/98 Geoff worked on both series of the popular ABC TV series Wildside, directing Rachael Blake in an episode that earned her the 1998 AFI Best Actress Award. His work on the ABC series Winners – On Loan, won an Atom Award and a United Nations Peace Citation, as well as achieving a runner up place in the 1985 Prix Jeunesse.

Most recently, Geoff directed Playmaker Media/Channel Nine show House Husbands Series 1,2 & 3, tele-event Power Games for which he won an AACTA Award for Best Director and Love Child series 1,2 & 3 (Seven Network/Playmaker Media) in addition to regularly directing blocks on Home and Away (Seven Network) throughout the year. In 2016, Geoff will be directing Peter Brock.
