Daniel Krige

Daniel Krige is a prolific writer, director and actor. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he grew up in Australia. Krige began working as a writer at the age of 16 for Grundy Television.

His writing credits include a BAFTA-nominated episode of Correlli, AFI-nominated episodes of Police Rescue and Mirror, Mirror (1995), along with episodes of All Saints, Murder Call, Stingers and Home and Away.

He has enjoyed international success with the award-winning short films, Our Feral Friends, Happily Ever After and, more recently, Providence Park. His critically acclaimed first feature, West was released in 2007.

As an actor, Krige has a long list of guest roles to his credit, including appearances on Tricky Business, Home and Away , East West 101, Redfern Now, Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms. He also stars in the up-coming feature Backyard Ashes.

Krige recently directed and starred in his second feature film Inhuman Resources which was released in Australia and Japan in November 2012, and was released in the US in early 2013.
