Screeteens – February Intake

Jan 22, 2016 | Screenwise Presents

Designed specifically for young adults and one of Screenwise’s renowned short courses, Screenteens Acting Classes provides its students with fundamental screen acting techniques. Over the 8-week program, students will learn key industry skills including how to; break down a scene, build a character, find the truth in performing, use props, take direction, master continuity and also act in front of the camera each week.

Unlike other young adult acting classes on offer, students are guaranteed industry insight and acting tuition from our professional tutors who are some of Australia’s best talent.

Screenteens graduate Ashleigh Cummings (Gallipoli, Puberty Blues, Tomorrow When The War Began, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) has landed major roles and been nominated for a plethora of awards since her time at Screenwise.

“Thank you so much Denise! I wouldn’t be where I am now without Screenwise so I owe you everything. Ash xx” – Ashleigh Cummings. Ashleigh is a prime example of how Screenwise’s Screenteens Course provides young actors with a real taste of life in the Film and TV Industry.

During the duration of the program, headshots of our Screenteeners (not represented by an agent) are kept on file and submitted to casting consultants for consideration for an audition whenever there is a suitable Film or TV series being cast. Graduates of Screenteens have auditioned and appeared in some of Australia’s leading film and TV series such as Puberty Blues, Home and Away, Tomorrow When The World Began, All Saints, The December Boys, H2O and Blue Water High.

The Screenteens acting classes run in conjunction with school terms each Saturday morning, with one class per week over an 8-week period. No audition is required for entry.
