Screenwise Graduation is a hard act to follow!

The 2014 Diploma of Screen Acting Graduation (10065NAT) went off with a bang last Tuesday evening at the renowned Carriageworks with a catalogue of industry professionals in attendance including Mullinars Casting, Shine Australia and Marquee Management just to name a few!

The showcase provided a wonderful opportunity for industry professionals as well as friends and family of graduating students to share in the culmination of the two-year full – time comprehensive creative and technical training journey undertaken at Screenwise during the Diploma of Screen Acting (10065NAT)course.

As well as a live theatre performance, the evening screened a short neo-noir theme presentation and excerpts from all 15 students final year films, making it the highest number of graduates in Screenwise’s history of Diploma of Screen Acting (10065NAT).

“The previous two years have been a remarkable achievement for our graduates and that was certainly evident with the wealth of talent present in the room tonight. This evening is yet another prime example of our very talented cohort who have enthusiastically embraced every opportunity and challenge, who are completely comfortable on set and on screen, and highly skilled in all facets of production and post production. ”, said Principal Director and CEO Denise Roberts.

Graduate student Jordan Sykes comments that ‘It’s scary to think that two years has nearly come to an end, I remember the moment I got accepted into Screenwise – Australia’s Leading Film & TV School for Actors, I have worked with some of Australia’s top Actors/Directors/Casting Agents etc and I couldn’t ask for a better life at the moment! Excited to see what will happen and thanks to everyone who has been so supportive especially my friends, family and tutors!”

Interested in pursuing a career in acting but not sure what 2015 holds for you? A 2 Year Full-time intensive creative and technical screen acting program that covers everything connected to the film and television industry from extended acting methods and techniques, screen combat, green screen, movement and voice for screen, various dialects including standard American, right through to developing relationships with producers, directors, agents and casting directors.

Successful applicants will also work intimately with Australia’s new up and coming directors from AFTRS. Based on the “Roberts Method” the Diploma mixes a strong academic element with a hard-nosed professionalism. It provides total focus and immersion training in the unique skills and techniques required for screen acting to meet the demands of today’s film industry. The 2015 intake of the Screenwise 2 Year Full-time Diploma will commence in February 2015. Applications are now open and close on 15 November 2014.
