Screenwise goes to the Emmy’s! Screenwise CEO and Principal Director Denise Roberts has been invited by the prestigious International Academy Of Television Arts and Sciences to be a juror for the International Emmy Awards again this year. Held annually in New York City, Denise is part of a jury panel that represents current trends in world television programming as well as a wide range of industry professionals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Denise was on the panel for Best Actor in 2013 and this year is casting her vote for best Actress for 2014.

“It’s an extremely exciting experience to be involved in such an event that allows me to witness first hand the plethora of talent the international industry has to offer.” Denise

Over 700 television professionals from over 60 countries convene annually for the International Emmy World Television Festival. The Festival takes place the weekend before the International Emmy Awards and is the only place where one can watch all the nominated programs for the current year’s awards and meet with creators of the nominated programs.

Screenwise was established thirteen years ago to provide specialist, career-focused training in acting for film & television. In today’s industry, without a strong screen profile, it is difficult for actors to progress in any facet of acting.

Overseen by Denise Roberts (Wonderland, Mrs Biggs, Packed To The Rafters, Blood Brothers, Always Greener, GP), Screenwise employs top industry professionals – award-winning actors, directors and casting consultants – who are articulate and inspirational tutors.

Screenwise is a boutique drama school specifically designed to teach the art of screen acting. The school attracts students from around the country and the globe. Alumni include high profile actors such as Chris Hemsworth, Todd Lasance, Isabel Lucas, Ashleigh Cummings, Christian Clark, George Houvardas, Tabrett Bethell, Yvonne Strahovski, and Andy Whitfield.

In 2011, Screenwise made history when it became the first Government Accredited Registered Training Organisation (Provider code 91699) to offer the full time Diploma of Screen Acting (10065NAT) two year course.
