Screenwise CEO and Principal Director Denise Roberts was recently invited by the prestigious International Academy Of Television Arts and Sciences to be a juror in selecting Best Actress for 2015 for the International Emmy Awards again this year. Held annually in New York City, Denise is part of a jury panel that represents current trends in world television programming as well as a wide range of industry professionals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

Hosted by Egyptian Comedian Bassem Youssef at the New York Hilton, in attendance were over 1000 international television professionals including Academy Award winning Actor and Producer Michael Douglas as well as Chairman & CEO of HBO, Richard Plepler just to name a few!

“As juror for the third year running, it’s extremely exciting to be involved in such an event and i’m constantly amazed at the profusion of talent the international industry has to offer.” Denise.

Over 700 television professionals from over 60 countries convene annually for the International Emmy World Television Festival. The Festival takes place the weekend before the International Emmy Awards and is the only place where one can watch all the nominated programs for the current year’s awards and meet with creators of the nominated programs.

Screenwise was established fifteen years ago to provide specialist, career-focused training in acting for film & television. In today’s industry, without a strong screen profile, it is difficult for actors to progress in any facet of acting.

Overseen by Denise Roberts (Wonderland, Mrs Biggs, Packed To The Rafters, Blood Brothers, Always Greener, GP), Screenwise employs top industry professionals – award-winning actors, directors and casting consultants – who are articulate and inspirational tutors.

Screenwise is a boutique drama school specifically designed to teach the art of screen acting. The school attracts students from around the country and the globe. Alumni include high profile actors such as Chris Hemsworth, Todd Lasance, Isabel Lucas, Ashleigh Cummings, Christian Clark, Stef Dawson, George Houvardas, Tabrett Bethell, Yvonne Strahovski, and Andy Whitfield.

In 2011, Screenwise made history when it became the first Government Accredited Registered Training Organisation (Provider code 91699) to offer the full time Diploma of Screen Acting (10065NAT) two year course.
