Screenwise Australia’s Leading Film & TV School for Actors extends Multi-Year Funding for the Heath Ledger Scholarship

Screenwise, Australia’s Leading Film and TV School for Actors, and long-running sponsor of the Heath Ledger Scholarship, is continuing it’s commitment as one of the Presenting Partners and financial contributors of Australia’s most prestigious acting scholarship.

Denise Roberts, Principal Director and CEO of Screenwise, said “The Heath Ledger Scholarship is so dear to so many peoples’ hearts and really is an incredible, potentially life-changing opportunity for a young Australian actor.

“AiF has grown dramatically over the past two years and it’s wonderful to see the evolution. I visited the AiF creative workspace at Raleigh Studios the last time I was in Los Angeles and it has such an inspiring energy about it. Screenwise is excited to support AiF’s continued growth as it helps young and emerging Australian actors achieve their goals.” Denise said.

Kate Marks, AiF President, said: “Screenwise, led by the incredible Denise Roberts, has been a wonderful and generous partner of the Heath Ledger Scholarship over the years and we are thrilled she has signed this new multi-year commitment. “This partnership provides AiF the necessary funds to provide opportunities for recipients of the Scholarship to further their skills as an actor. On behalf of the AiF Board, we sincerely thank Denise and Screenwise,” Kate said.

Applications for the Heath Ledger Scholarship have just closed, with the ten finalists announced in May 2017. The winner of the scholarship will be announced in front of members of the Ledger family in Los Angeles on June 1st 2017.
