Hello, It’s hard to believe it’s almost Christmas! – We have had an unbelievable 2016 here in the Screenwise studios.
First off, a huge congratulations to our second year Diploma of Screen Acting (10065NAT) students on their recent Graduation Showcase. The Graduation was held at the Eternity Playhouse in Darlinghurst with a catalogue of top industry heavyweight film and TV professionals including agents and casting directors.
Our students Showcase screening together with their live stage performance was excellent. The talent produced this year has really blown me away and I’m confident we will see big things from these guys in the near future! To check out the Showreel intro, click here.
The Screenwise studios are buzzing as we are currently in the process of selecting our January 2017 Showreel Course students as well as our 10065NAT Diploma of Screen Acting students. Initial applications for our Diploma have now closed, however late applications are being accepted subject to availability. Click here for more info.
This year has also seen important changes to VET-FEE HELP accessibility, which will no doubt have a resounding impact on learning opportunities for students on the national front. Screenwise will continue making these education opportunities possible, by providing alternative financial options alongside a smooth and reasonable fee structure under the Diploma of Screen Acting.
I recently had the honor of being invited to become a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This followed on from my role as a juror in selecting Best Actress for 2016 for the International Emmy Awards again this year held annually in New York. As juror for the fourth year running, it’s extremely exciting to be involved in such an event and I’m constantly amazed at the profusion of talent the international industry has to offer.
I am also pleased to announce that Screenwise will be back in the USA sponsoring G’day USA in January 2017. Stay tuned for more details.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support throughout 2016 and wish you and your families a very happy Christmas. Please enjoy the holidays, stay safe and I look forward to speaking with you again in the New Year!
