About the course

The Screenwise Screen Acting Intermediate Course is a six-week intensive designed for actors who are ready to sharpen their screen acting skills and go further than the acting basics.

The Screen Acting Intermediate Course will focus on methods that will help you present in auditions and on set as the unique YOU in a relaxed, focused and charismatic way.

Screenwise classes are strictly boutique in size to ensure quality of delivery. Intake for the Screen Acting Intermediate Course is limited to 14 students.


  • Ability to maintain performance whilst making high stake choices
  • Capacity to understand a scene through listening to the author
  • Ability to apply monologue as a personal story
  • Capacity to receive feedback and follow direction consistently
  • Confident application on camera of technical factors in performance through weekly scene work

Prerequisites: Completed Screenwise Screen Acting Beginners Course or an equivalent short course (CV will be required on application for selection).

About Your Tutor - Peter Kowitz

Peter Kowitz is one of Australia's most versatile and accomplished actors, Peter has been 4 times nominated for AFI awards; for drama (Bodysurfer, The Long Way Home, and GP) and comedy (Supernova), winning twice Best Actor for Bodysurfer and The Long Way Home. In 1989 He received the Variety Heart award for Television Actor of the Year.
