About the course

COURSE DURATION: Once a week on Monday Evenings (6:30pm – 9:30pm) for 5 consecutive weeks, 3 hours per week.

Presenting on Camera in any format can be a daunting and challenging task that requires a practical combination of screen and presentation techniques. Screenwise has developed this course in conjunction with approaches and methods that are aligned with current professional standards in Film and TV presenting.

You will develop a true understanding of your place in front of the camera, and the important role that performance plays in delivering a clear, communicative and impactful message to your audience.

Presenting on camera skills are critical in this current digital age for business professionals, vloggers, influencers and anyone looking to capture attention and convey their messages via video to their social media audiences.

The Presenting on Camera course with Peter Mochrie will explore these approaches and is designed for anyone over 16 years who wants to broaden their communication skills and develop confidence talking to a camera or to an audience.

Presenting on Camera skills are also a prerequisite for reality based TV programs and styles including news, vlogging, children, lifestyle, infotainment, travel, vox pops and interview.

About Your Tutor - Peter Mochrie

Peter Mochrie has enjoyed great success as one of Australia’s leading Actors and his career spans over thirty five years. In 1979, he received his first big break appearing in The Restless Years as Ric Moran. He played this role for two years and soon caught the attention of other TV Producers, appearing in Sons and Daughters, Butterfly Island, Neighbours, Holiday Island and Alex Buzo’s Rooted for the ABC. He also appeared in two movies, Winter Of Our Dreams and Just In Time. Peter's success continued to grow with roles in shows such as Home And Away, Blue Heelers and G.P. He played John ‘Knocker’ Harrison in Water Rats, the male lead Steve Hayden in Murder...
