About The Masterclass:
In this two-day intensive masterclass, participating actors will be pre-assigned scene work by Lisa. The Masterclass is theater-based, but nowhere does Lisa find this work more important than in current film and television. Lisa’s daily work as a private coach in LA is primarily for the screen.
Day One: Connecting the life
The actor is immediately “on their feet” and working in ensemble. Lisa’s warm up connects the instinctive/intuitive talent of the actor to their emotion, voice and body. The work then goes further into imagery and physical techniques that open the actor’s imaginative and emotional range! The work then extends into the specific life of the actor’s pre-assigned character as they build foundation and freedom for that life.
Day Two: Scenes into action
Day Two of the intensive sees the work put into action as actor’s perform their pre-assigned and work intensively with Lisa, excavating the text, honing craft and unleashing the actor’s physical, emotional and behavioral life – finding a new freedom and “breakthrough” in their work,
