MichelleDannerSydney-300x167What do Chris Rock, Gerard Butler, Seth MacFarlane, Penelope Cruz, Michael Pena, Isla Fisher, Common, Salma Hayek, James Franco, Marcia Cross, Christian Slater, Zooey Deschanel and Michelle Rodriguez have in common?

They have all worked with celebrated acting coach, director and producer Michelle Danner. And now Australians will have the chance to learn from Danner herself when she comes to Sydney this March to host two master intensive professional acting workshops: The Golden Box and Audition Technique Intensive. Both of these workshops are proudly presented by Screenwise Film & TV Acting School, Australia’s leading film and TV school for actors.

The Golden Box Workshop

The first master intensive workshop, The Golden Box, will run for two days – Saturday 23rd March to Sunday 24th March 2013 – and will detail the techniques used at The Acting Studio. This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in forging an acting career, including actors, directors, producers and acting tutors. The Golden Box is not a traditional acting seminar. Instead, it consists of a technique analysis lecture as well as exercises which will see students learning how to create back-stories for their characters by using their own emotions and experiences. Students will also view, analyse and discuss iconic scenes featuring the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, James Dean and Marlon Brando.

The workshop will take place at Screenwise Studios and will commence at 10am and conclude at 4.30pm on both days (Saturday 23rd March to Sunday 24th March, 2013). The total cost of the workshop is $396.

To participate in The Golden Box please contact the office at info@screenwise.com.au or call (02)9281 4484. Bookings are recommended as there are limited places available.

Audition Technique Workshop

The second master intensive workshop, Audition Technique, is suitable for experienced actors only and breaks down the audition process, aiming to help actors feel at ease and comfortable in auditions. Presented over two days, Monday 25th March and Tuesday 26th March 2013, this workshop will see students participate in a range of exercises performed in front of the camera.

Audition Technique will be held at Screenwise Studios and will commence at 10am and conclude at 5pm on both days (Monday 25th March and Tuesday 26th March, 2013).

To participate in the Audition Technique Workshop, please contact the office on (02)9281 4484 or email info@screenwise.com.au. Bookings are recommended as there are only 16 places available. The total cost of the workshop is $599.
